EcoTeak looks and smells like wood, but its properties are different from those of wood. In order to process low utility value wood into a high quality product, the semiproducts are bound with thermoplastic resign. With this combination the composite does not absorb water, which makes it very resistant to adverse weather conditions. Does not require maintenance or preservation, there is no need to renew it after the winter.
The color of the material does not change for many years which both assures good apperance and brings measurable financial benefits. The composite can be assembled in the same way as wood with nails or screws. It can be installed with similar tools and accessories as those used to install wood products. Fire classification tested for the reaction to fire determines the properties of the EcoTeak Wood Plastic Composite as class Cfl and smoke emission as s1 (PN-EN 13501-1+A1:2010). EcoTeak wood plastic composite was classified as DIFFICULT TO IGNITE - LOW FIRE SPREADING.
Therefore , EcoTeak Wood Plastic Composite solutions can be used in combination with floor heating or anti-freezing system.
